2026 READ-A-THON PRIZES

WHOLE CLASS PRIZES
  1. Read-A-Thon is all about PARTICIPATION! The goal is to get as many people to log minutes as possible, so everyone gets to benefit from the joy of reading. Your class is your reading TEAM!
  2. The class with the highest average number of minutes read per participating student will receive the famed Read-A-Thon trophy and a BIG CUPCAKE PARTY!!
  3. FOR EACH GRADE - The class with the highest average number of minutes read per participating student will get a MINI CUPCAKE party!
  4. If every student in a class logs minutes (even just once!) that class will not only have an advantage for earning a cupcake party, but everyone in the class will also receive a WORLD FAIR GAME TICKET!
INDIVIDUAL READER PRIZES
  1. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place readers with the overall highest number of minutes read in the ENTIRE SCHOOL will receive a personalized TROPHY and a GIFT CARD - 1 st place gets $25, 2 nd place $15, and 3 rd place $10!!
  2. The top readers of EACH GRADE will receive a special MEDAL!!
  3. The top readers of EACH CLASS will receive a PRIZE RIBBON!!
  4. Anyone who reads over 1,000 MINUTES will earn a special 1,000-minute club pencil!!
NEW THIS YEAR
  1. PLUS – the top 3 readers will get to spray Mr. Gorton with colored water at an assembly in front of the entire school!!
