2025 READ-A-THON PRIZES – MORE THAN EVER BEFORE

WHOLE CLASS PRIZES
  1. The CLASS with the highest average number of minutes read per participating student will receive the famed Read-A-Thon trophy, a year of bragging rights, and a PIZZA AND TREAT PARTY!
  2. The CLASS FOR EACH GRADE with the highest average number of minutes read per participating student will also get a TREAT PARTY!
  3. If every student in a CLASS logs minutes (even just once!) EVERYONE in that class will receive a PRIZE COUPON to choose a FREE BOOK at the Book Nook at the Colfax World Fair on May 17th, 2025!
  4. All of the students in the first class to achieve 100% participation will receive a PRIZE!
INDIVIDUAL READER PRIZES
  1. Every student who logs minutes (even just once!) will receive a digital copy of their 2024-25 Best Book Forward Portrait!
  2. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place readers with the overall highest number of minutes read in the ENTIRE SCHOOL will receive a personalized TROPHY, a Barnes & Noble GIFT CARD, and get to spray Mr. Gorton with SUPER SOAKERS at the award assembly!!
  3. The top readers of EACH GRADE will receive a special MEDAL!!
  4. The top readers of EACH CLASS will receive a PRIZE RIBBON and READING WEEPUL!!
  5. Anyone who reads over 1,000 MINUTES will earn a special 1,000-minute club pencil!!
NEW THIS YEAR
  1. Each week of Read-A-Thon, one reader PER GRADE will be randomly selected to choose a free book or reading-related prize! You don’t have to read the MOST to win– just log your reading, and you’re entered in the drawing. It’s like Caught Being Good, but now it’s Caught Reading…Well!
